The chaotic Fluxx card game, now with Captains, Engineers and Cute Fuzzy Aliens.
Who it's for
You want a laid-back, silly card game for a mixed group and do not mind chaos. Easy to pick up in the middle of a conversation.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want strategy where good decisions reliably win. Here the next card can undo everything.
Vibe's take
Chaotic and giggly. The goal changes, the rules change, and a win can come out of nowhere. You laugh a lot, and nobody gets upset because nobody was really in control.
Star Fluxx is the space-themed version of the card game where the rules change as you play. It starts as draw one, play one, but that can change at any moment. Play a Goal and you can win by meeting it, usually by having the right Keeper cards in front of you, but the next card can shift the goal, steal your Keepers or change how many cards you draw. This one adds sci-fi jokes: a Captain, an Engineer, an Expendable Crewman, Evil Computers and Cute Fuzzy Aliens. It is chaotic, a little silly and easy to pick up, and nobody takes it very seriously, which is the point.
