Four sci-fi factions for the card-smashing mash-up game, playable on their own as a two-player duel.
Who it's for
You already enjoy Smash Up or want a sci-fi flavored mash-up for two. Good when you like collecting silly faction pairings.
Not for you ifβ¦
You dislike take-that cards that mess with your plans, or you want a single standalone game with a lot of depth.
Vibe's take
Cheeky and tactical. You race to dominate shared bases while the factions' weird tricks wreck each other's plans. Matches feel snappy, and the combos are the entertainment.
Smash Up: Science Fiction Double Feature brings four sci-fi factions to the mash-up card game where you shuffle two factions into one deck and fight over bases. Time Travelers reuse cards again and again, Cyborg Apes attach actions to their minions, Super Spies plot the future with sneaky tricks, and Shapeshifters could be anyone. It plays on its own as a two-player game, and you can fold it into other Smash Up sets for up to four players. Weird combos like cyborg apes plus time travelers are half the joy. Expect gadgets, jokes and the satisfying crunch of a base going down.
