Grow vegetables on geothermal Iceland and feed the tourist rush with perfect timing.
Who it's for
You enjoy worker placement and want a farming game with a fresher setting than the usual fields. Works well with three players.
Not for you if…
You want direct conflict or a short game. Reykholt is peaceful and takes an hour, so it can feel slow if you crave drama.
Vibe's take
Calm, cozy planning with a quiet race underneath. You mostly watch your own greenhouse and sigh when someone takes the action you needed.
Growing tomatoes, lettuce and carrots on Iceland sounds absurd, until you remember the island sits on geothermal heat. In Reykholt you run a greenhouse farm, place workers to plant, harvest and hire help, and serve the tourists who flood in for a short season that gets busier every year. The trick is having the right vegetable at the right moment for the right visitor. It is a worker placement game with the weight of a medium eurogame: about an hour, no combat, no negotiation, just tight planning in a funny setting. A solo mode with scenarios makes it more than a group-only game.
