Sneak through a convent at night as a novice or hunt the troublemakers as the Abbess.
Who it's for
Groups of five to eight who like hidden-movement and bluffing in a funny, slightly irreverent setting. Works well with a crowd.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want a slick, serious deduction duel. The theme is silly and the tone chatty, and the game needs enough players to shine.
Vibe's take
Giddy, whispery and full of near misses. The patrol side stares at the map while the novices keep a straight face.
Night in the abbey: most of you are novices sneaking out of bed to look for keys and treasures, each driven by a secret wish. The rest play the Abbess or the Prioress, patrolling the corridors and trying to catch you before you get back to your bunk. The novices write their moves down in secret, while the patrol moves openly, so the whole game turns into a cat-and-mouse bluff in a convent. It is silly, a bit irreverent and lively, and it works best with a bigger group that enjoys laughing at its own sneaking. Players on the novice team need to cooperate quietly without giving each other away.
