Roll treasure dice, grab matching tiles and fill your Egyptian dig site.
Who it's for
Kids from five who like dice and collecting things, and parents who want a very short, friendly game with a gentle puzzle feel.
Not for you ifβ¦
You are an adult group looking for depth. It's short, mostly luck, and meant for young players.
Vibe's take
Cheery and tactile, with the happy rattle of dice. Little ones enjoy the loot-collecting, and adults just have to resist optimizing too hard.
A children's dice game from age five, set at an Egyptian dig. Each player has a cardboard excavation site grid, and between you sit stacks of treasure tiles in different shapes, each showing a mix of gold lamps, coins, scarabs, vases, jewels and little hippos. On your turn you roll five treasure dice and may take any tile whose symbols match what you rolled, then you slot it onto your grid. The goal is to fill your site cleverly, because awkward shapes leave gaps you cannot fill later. It takes about ten minutes, rewards spatial thinking a little and luck a lot, and works for kids with a grown-up or older sibling helping out.
