Photograph the shy Loch Ness monster before anybody else gets it in front of the lens.
Who it's for
You play with children from four years and want a gentle roll-and-move game with a fun monster theme. Great for families with small kids who are just learning to take turns.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want real decisions or a game that adults enjoy on their own. The die decides most of the outcome, and older kids will quickly want more depth.
Vibe's take
Light, silly and driven by the die. Kids cheer when the monster swims their way, and the tension of drawing tiles from the bag keeps younger players glued to the table. Adults will find it simple but friendly.
Loch Ness is a children's game from age four about the world's most famous shy monster. Everyone knows the legend, but who actually gets a good photo of it? Each player has two or three tourist pawns on spots along the shore, and a twelve-sided die with different effects moves the monster closer to them or farther away. The luckiest and most skilful photographers pull photo tiles from a bag, keeping only the last one they take. When the tiles run out, the best photographer wins. The basic game is very simple, and extra rules give older kids more to chew on. Adults get an easy, low-pressure round that is mostly about cheering for the monster to show up.
