A ten-minute dice game for small kids about filling a construction site with rides.
Who it's for
Parents of five-year-olds who want a short first tile-placement game. Fine for two to four players, with kids who like building and rolling.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want depth or a challenge for adults. The dice drive a lot, so older players will find it too light.
Vibe's take
Light, quick and cheerful. Kids enjoy rolling and placing, adults enjoy the gentle puzzle of fitting pieces, and the whole thing is over before anyone gets bored.
Tiny Park is a tiny, quick game for small kids about building the best amusement park on the block. Each player has a construction site to fill, and on your turn you roll dice and place attractions onto your site according to what you rolled. The challenge is to place everything neatly so that no gaps remain, and the first player to fill the site and open the park to happy visitors wins. The rules fit on one page and a game lasts about ten minutes, so it is a real option for five-year-olds. Adults will find it light, and the luck of the dice matters a lot, but it works as a first step into tile placement.
