Fluxx with Monty Python jokes: the rules change every turn and the goal might be a shrubbery.
Who it's for
You are a Monty Python fan who wants a silly card game with plenty of references, and you can accept that the outcome is mostly luck.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want to plan ahead or dislike random swings. If the Python jokes do nothing for you, the game is just chaos.
Vibe's take
Chaotic, quotable and gloriously unfair. Nobody has a plan for long, and fans of the source material will enjoy the jokes more than the mechanics.
Monty Python Fluxx brings the rule-changing chaos of Fluxx to the world of the Holy Grail and Flying Circus. Everyone starts with three cards. On your turn you draw one and play one, but what you play can change how many cards you draw, how many you hold, and even how the game is won. The win conditions are gloriously daft: one might ask you to have the Knights Who Say Ni and a shrubbery face up in front of you. Expect quotes, silly goals, and a game that rewrites itself every round. Two to six players, about forty minutes.
