Secretly back politicians, then purge, exile and promote your way to control of the Politburo.
Who it's for
You like negotiation games with secret numbers and a political-comedy theme, ideally with five or six people.
Not for you ifβ¦
You dislike talk-heavy games or hidden-information bluffing. It rewards patience at the table.
Vibe's take
Scheming and talky, with shifting alliances and dry satire. The hidden influence adds a nice edge of suspense when things are revealed.
The Soviet Politburo as a satirical power game. A row of politician cards fills the offices of the party, and you secretly note how much influence you have over ten of them, numbered one to ten. Play doesn't move clockwise. Instead, the politician holding each office acts in turn, and whoever has revealed the most influence over that politician makes the call. You'll purge, exile to Siberia or demote the ones who work against you, and push your own favorites up the ladder. Who really controls whom stays hidden until it matters, which makes bluffing and reading the room the whole game. The tone is dry, absurd humor about backroom politics.
