Place servant dice on treasure, pick how bold to be, then roll and see who loses their nerve.
Who it's for
You like push-your-luck games where you set the risk yourself. Best with four players who enjoy a little trash talk.
Not for you ifβ¦
You dislike luck in your decisions. The rolls decide a lot, and a good plan can still fail.
Vibe's take
Nervy and clever: you bluff with a high number, then sweat while the dice roll. Every round ends with a small gasp.
Crypt is a small-box set-collection game where the dice are your servants. Each round you place servant dice on treasure cards and pick any value you like for each die. A high value scares off rivals, but it also raises the chance that your servant gets exhausted when everyone rolls. If you roll under your chosen value, you lose the die. Collect sets of treasure and pawn them off to collectors for coins and special abilities. The player with the most valuable collection wins. It is a quick, nervy push-your-luck game for one to four players, with a medieval-renaissance look and a lot of dice-shuffling drama.
