Send your merchants through the lanes of Florence and grab the majority before anyone else does.
Who it's for
You enjoy area-majority euro games with a map you can fight over, and you want a theme that actually comes through.
Not for you ifβ¦
You dislike spatial competition or counting what everyone else might do. Streets fill up quickly, and being squeezed out hurts.
Vibe's take
Neat and tense, a bit like a chess match fought in a crowded marketplace. You keep counting streets, employees, and who will be where next turn.
Calimala drops you into medieval Florence as a cloth merchant, with a handful of trusted employees and a city of narrow streets to put them in. You send your people to different streets, compete for the most presence there, and use the profits and influence to grow your standing among the guilds. The board is built from modular pieces, so the city looks different from game to game, and order counters decide who gets to act first. It is a tidy, medium-weight euro with a lot of area-majority tension and a bonus scoring layer at the end. If you like a clear theme and a shared map, this one has plenty of bite.
