Run a 1920s archaeology company: roll your adventurers, dig up artifacts, and sell them to museums.
Who it's for
You like dice worker placement with a pulp-adventure theme and a medium amount of thinking. Works best with two players.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want pure strategy without dice swings. Luck plays a role, and the theme is light.
Vibe's take
Brisk and tidy, with the satisfying crunch of rolling and placing dice. You are always choosing between cash now and fame later.
Artifacts, Inc. sets you up in New York, 1929, running an archaeology company in a world crazy for antiquities. Your team of adventurers is a handful of dice, and you place them on cards to explore jungles, deserts, and mountains and dig up artifacts. Then you sell your finds to museums, collect sets for bonuses, and spend your earnings on new cards that become your company's assets. You can focus on making lots of money or on building fame, and rerolling dice gives you some control over luck. It is a light-to-medium dice worker-placement game with a pulp-adventure mood, played in about an hour.
