Who it's for

You like set collection with a little greed and trading chatter. Strongest at four players, still good from two to five.

Not for you if…

You dislike pushing your luck or having a nearly finished set stolen. Some turns will simply hurt.

Vibe's take

Lively and greedy: you always want one more draw, and the sandstorm and thieves punish you for it. The marketplace gives the table a chatty, bargaining rhythm.

About this game

A card game set at a dig site in the Egyptian desert. You draw cards, hunt for matching pieces of torn parchments, broken pots and other artifacts, and try to complete sets before anyone else does. You can explore an ancient pyramid in hope of a treasure stash, trade at the market to improve your collection, and sell finds to the museum at just the right moment. The drama comes from the desert itself: a sandstorm throws your expedition into disarray, and thieves lurk around the site, ready to snatch what you worked for. Every draw is a little gamble. Best with four players, and a game runs about half an hour.
