Build the city as you go, shoot your way through a slow zombie horde, and race to the helipad.
Who it's for
You want a dice-driven horror romp with a movie-night vibe, and you can laugh at your own bad luck. Works for four or so players who enjoy cheesy zombie films.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want tight decisions or fully cooperative play. The dice decide much of what happens, and a turn can swing wildly in a roll.
Vibe's take
Dice-driven, goofy, and slightly desperate: you run, shoot, and curse when a die makes your last bullet miss. It plays more like a horror movie romp than a careful puzzle.
You are a survivor in a city overrun by the slow, shuffling Romero kind of zombie, and the streets are built as you explore: tile by tile, from a modular board. You roll to move, roll to fight, and have to ration your bullets and your life counters. At the end of each turn, a roll tells you how many zombies shamble a step closer, so a quiet street never stays quiet for long. You win by reaching the helipad in the center and killing the zombie waiting there, or by racking up 25 kills along the way. Die, and you restart at the beginning and lose half your kills. It is the dice-heavy, tongue-in-cheek original of a long series.
