About this game

Yahtzee gives you five dice, three rolls, and a scorecard that quietly forces every decision into a trade-off. Chase the big five-of-a-kind jackpot and risk leaving your easy categories empty, or lock in something safe now and hope you draw better luck later in the game. There is no strategy to hide behind, just probability, nerve and the specific joy of watching all five dice land exactly the way you needed. Since 1956 it has stayed a shelf staple for exactly this reason: nobody needs to be taught twice, and everybody groans the same way when the dice betray them.
