Roll dice, bank the points you have, or push on and risk losing the lot.
Who it's for
You want a pen-and-dice game for a group that enjoys a bit of table talk and gambler's regret. Easy to carry on trips because all you need is dice.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want to outthink opponents. Your only decision is when to stop, and the dice decide the rest.
Vibe's take
Loud, greedy, and full of big swings. One more roll feels so reasonable right up until it ends your turn with nothing.
A traditional press-your-luck dice game in the family of Dix Mille and Cosmic Wimpout. You roll five or six dice, depending on the version, and set aside any that score: ones, fives, and sets of matching numbers. Then you decide whether to bank your points or roll the rest and risk getting nothing at all, which is called a Farkle. If every die scores, you pick them all up and keep rolling. The first to 10,000 wins. The game has been around since at least the 1930s and needs only dice and a pen. It is pure greed management, and everyone sits there shouting at the dice.
