Pick secret maneuver cards, fly your WWI plane into position, and shoot down your opponent.
Who it's for
You like WWI aviation and want a quick air-combat game with real maneuvering and a bit of bluffing, without miniatures or a thick rulebook.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want a game with long-term planning or a campaign. It is a short duel of guesses, and bad luck can decide a round.
Vibe's take
Tense guessing game where you try to predict your enemy's turn. When it works, you swing in behind their tail; when it fails, you fly past and watch them fire at you.
World War I dogfights on your kitchen table, played with cards. Each plane is a single card that you move around any open surface, and every pilot secretly picks movement cards at the same time. Then you all reveal and fly β and hope your enemy turned where you expected. Fire cards track the damage, and each aircraft has its own deck, so a nimble fighter really handles differently from a sturdier one. This Famous Aces set brings several legendary pilots into the mix. The result is a fast, tense game of guessing, positioning and a bit of luck, with just enough simulation to feel like a duel in the sky. It is simple enough to play in twenty minutes, but with surprising bite.
