A fast, card-driven duel over the American Revolution, played twice so both of you fight from both sides.
Who it's for
Two-player strategy fans and history buffs who want Twilight Struggle-style tension without the multi-hour commitment.
Not for you ifβ¦
Wargames and card-driven systems feel intimidating to you, since this still demands real tactical planning.
Vibe's take
tense, strategic, historical, brisk for a wargame, competitive
Washington's War puts you in command of either the Crown or the rebellious colonies during the American Revolution, and it moves fast for a wargame. Cards do double duty, funding operations or triggering historical events, and dice resolve battles quickly enough that you are never stuck untangling combat math. The real hook is built into how you play it: you and your opponent sit down twice in one session, switching sides, so you get to test your strategy from both chairs and see exactly what you missed. As a redesign of the genre-defining We the People, it delivers deep card-driven strategy in a fraction of the usual wargame runtime.
