Baronial power struggle for a vacant throne, with armies, votes and plenty of backstabbing.
Who it's for
You have an entire evening and a group that loves scheming, negotiating and war-gaming. Best at four.
Not for you ifβ¦
You need a quick game or dislike long rules and long playtime. This is a serious time commitment.
Vibe's take
Epic, slow-burning and political. Expect long stretches of planning punctuated by dramatic battles and sudden betrayals. It rewards patience and a group that enjoys negotiating.
Warrior Knights is a big, long medieval power struggle. The king has been killed with no heir, and as one of the Barons you are fighting to be the one who ends up on the throne. You command four Nobles leading armies, capture cities for Influence points, build up income, collect votes for the Assembly, and spend Faith to bend chance events your way. Each turn you pick tasks to perform, but the clever bit is that the order everyone resolves them in is not fully in your hands. Expect diplomacy, backstabbing, battles and a lot of table talk. This is a four-hour commitment for a group that wants a proper evening of scheming.
