Move knights and Merlin around the action ring and compete for King Arthur's favour.

You are an experienced player who likes medium-heavy strategy with tight, interlocking decisions. Best with three friends who enjoy a subtle fight.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want a light or relaxed evening, or you hate when others change your plan. It rewards focus and planning.
Vibe's take
Tight, clever and a touch devious, since everyone can nudge Merlin and bend your plan. The choices feel interlocking, like a clockwork puzzle with a bit of banter.
King Arthur needs an heir, and Merlin helps him test the Knights of the Round Table. In Merlin you move your knight, or Merlin himself, around a ring of actions using dice, trying to land on the most useful spot. The clever bit is that only you move your own knight, while everyone can push Merlin, so working him into your plan is a delicate business. You score by defeating barbarians, building manors and gaining influence in the six counties, and task cards give extra points. It is a medium-heavy strategy game with a tight clockwork feel. Best with three, and not for the faint-hearted.
