Pop the dice dome, race four pawns around, and bump your friends back home.
Who it's for
Parents with kids from around four who need a first board game with almost no rules. Also good if you grew up with Mensch ärgere dich nicht and want the same bumping fun.
Not for you if…
You want decisions that matter. Apart from picking which pawn to move, luck runs everything, and adults tend to tire of it quickly.
Vibe's take
Pure luck, pure noise, and many small groans when someone gets bumped. Little kids love the popping dice, and there is no real thinking to slow things down.
Trouble is the game with the dice dome you slap down with your palm, and the pop is half the appeal. It is a simplified cousin of Pachisi: you need a six to leave home, then race your four pawns around the board and into the finish lane. Land on someone else's pawn and it goes right back to its base. That is the whole game, one die, one choice of which pawn to move, and a lot of cheerful bumping. There is almost no strategy, so adults will not find depth here, but it is a loud, forgiving first board game for four-year-olds. Nobody is eliminated, and comebacks happen constantly.
