A spooky mini Ticket to Ride where kids connect creepy places with ghost trains.
Who it's for
You want to bring your kid into the Ticket to Ride family with a spooky twist. A good bridge before the full-size versions.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want a serious route-building challenge. This is a kids' version, and experienced Ticket to Ride players will finish it quickly.
Vibe's take
Gentle, colorful and just competitive enough. Kids get the thrill of grabbing a route someone else needed, and adults can nudge the older ones into planning ahead.
Ticket to Ride, shrunk down for kids from about 6: instead of cross-country railways you run ghost trains through a spooky town, linking places like the Mad Scientist's Lab, the Gingerbread House and the Lonely Barn. Everyone starts with four parade float cards and two tickets, each naming two places to connect. On your turn you either draw two cards or discard matching ones to claim a route with your ghost trains. The rules are simple enough for beginners, yet adults still enjoy the little race to complete tickets. A fine first step toward the full-size Ticket to Ride games, with lighter spooks and lower stakes.
