A chaotic card brawl in the world of Isaac: collect treasure, kill monsters, steal the fourth soul first.
Who it's for
You know the video game or like a chaotic card brawl with dark humour. Best with three players who enjoy backstabbing.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want a calm or fair game. Luck and take-that effects swing hard, and the grim art is not for everyone.
Vibe's take
Loud, chaotic and a bit mean: someone always ruins your plan with a card you did not see coming. Fun when you embrace the madness and everyone laughs at the combos.
The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls is a card game about sacrifice, betrayal and hoarding, inspired by the video game of the same name. You pick a character with a starting item, collect treasure, loot cards and coins, fight monsters and race to be the first to collect four souls. With over 300 cards in the box, combos appear all the time, and you can team up or stab someone in the back. Dice add chaos, cards can interrupt each other, and bribing and trading are part of the game. It is rowdy, weird and heavily tied to the source's dark humour. One to four players, around half an hour.
