About this game

Rebuild London after the Great Fire by playing building cards into your city tableau, then running your city to generate money and points. Running your city activates all face-up buildings but generates poverty based on unplayed hand cards and inactive buildings. Managing poverty is the central challenge: expand too fast and the poor overwhelm your city, but build too slowly and rivals outpace you. Borough cards provide additional income and end-game scoring. A Martin Wallace economic design about the tension between growth and sustainability.
