Who it's for

Groups who like dice on the table but want real decisions attached to them. Works especially well as a warm-up before something heavier.

Not for you if…

You want your strategy shielded from randomness, or you hate losing a plan because someone grabbed your die first. The 2009 production and dry look have also aged, and copies can be hard to find.

Vibe's take

Brisk and a little cheeky, with the tension of watching the die you wanted disappear one seat before you. Luck shows up loudly but rarely decides the winner.

About this game

Africa in 1855: you follow Dr. Livingstone up the Zambezi toward Victoria Falls, pitching tents in the regions along the way and digging for diamonds when you feel lucky. Every round starts with a communal roll of dice, and the dice you claim decide where you can settle and how much you have to pay. Area majority scoring at the end rewards whoever spread smartest, not whoever rolled hottest.
