A thirty-minute economic duel where buildings turn goods into gold.
Who it's for
You love economic engine-building and want a short, tight two-player version, or you already like Le Havre.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want a game for more than two, or lots of luck and surprise. This one is quiet, predictable and about careful planning.
Vibe's take
Quiet and calculating: both players build an engine of buildings and keep checking what the other is about to do. The satisfying part is making your warehouse run in a smooth chain.
Le Havre: The Inland Port squeezes the harbor-trading game into a quick duel for two. Over twelve rounds, a fresh set of buildings arrives each time, and you take turns either constructing one or using one that already exists. Buildings let you convert and multiply the goods in your warehouse, so everything you build feeds the next thing you can do. At the end, you add up the value of your buildings and your cash, and the richest harbormaster wins. It is a compact economic puzzle with the same chain-reaction satisfaction as bigger economic games, and one game takes about half an hour.
