Who it's for

Heavy-euro players who want a thematically dark, mechanically dense worker-placement game with real economic depth.

Not for you if…

You're new to worker-placement games or want something light β€” this sits at the high end of complexity with a lot of interlocking systems.

Vibe's take

Dense and calculating β€” every turn forces a real trade-off between building your standing in Florence and condemning a soul for points, with the weight of the theme never far from the mechanics.

About this game

Inferno casts you as a power broker in medieval Florence with a very literal underworld connection: you decide which sinners get exposed and marched down through the nine circles of Hell. Each turn you either work the city's political machine β€” recruiting street urchins, raising your family tower β€” or condemn a soul, pushing the story of Dante's descent closer to Purgatory. The player who accumulates the most Infamy walks away untrustworthy and victorious.
