Roll two dice, pick one, and fill your puzzle board before your horse may enter its stall.
Who it's for
Parents of three-year-olds who want a first game with a real decision in it. Also a good fit if horses already rule the playroom.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want depth for the grown-ups. For adults it is pure playing along, and luck is part of the deal.
Vibe's take
A calm dice race with one tiny decision per turn. Kids are in within a minute, and adults can play along relaxed.
Hoppe Reiter is a tiny racing game for the youngest players. The horses are heading home from the paddock, but each stable wants something different: a bundle of carrots, a sack of oats. You roll two dice and pick one. It either moves your horse toward the stables or lets you collect an item for your puzzle board. Only a full board gets your horse into its stall. It is quick, gently competitive, and the choice between two dice is a first real decision for small hands.
