Two gods, two grids of hidden cards, and a hostage waiting to be seized.
Who it's for
You want a short, thematic card duel for two with bluffing and a Greek myth setting. A good one for couples or friends who like mind games.
Not for you ifβ¦
You dislike luck in a duel or want more than two players. Hidden cards mean you will sometimes gamble and lose.
Vibe's take
A tense bluffing duel where you gamble on hidden cards and watch your own column count shrink. Every attack is a small guess about what sits behind the card.
Hera and Zeus is a two-player card duel between two Greek gods, each furious because the other kidnapped their favorite mortal. You lay out cards in a grid of three columns and four rows, mostly face down, and attack with the cards at the front of your columns. Attackers are compared, the weaker one is destroyed, and because cards stay hidden until they fight, you bluff and gamble a lot. Each turn you get as many actions as you have columns, and lose them as columns fall. You win by wiping out your rival's columns, grabbing their hostage card, or leaving them unable to use their actions. Part of the Kosmos two-player series.
