Symmetrical Egyptian temple duel where secret card choices and one-shot powers decide who gets the temples.
Who it's for
You want a tight head-to-head with real bluffing and a little Egyptian flavor, and you have about half an hour.
Not for you ifβ¦
You prefer solo-style optimizing over reading your opponent, or you need three or more players.
Vibe's take
Tense and cat-and-mouse. Both sides are equally equipped, so every win feels earned, and every loss traces back to a guess you got wrong. Short enough that a rematch is usually inevitable.
Aton is a two-player duel set in the temples of ancient Egypt, where a new pharaoh wants to replace the old god Amon with Aton and the priests are not having it. You and your opponent start from exactly the same position with the same abilities, so the only difference between you is how well you use them. You fight over four big temples by playing cards from your hand, and each special ability can only be used once per game, so timing matters more than raw strength. Think of a compact area-majority fight with a bluffing streak: you are constantly guessing what the other side will commit. It plays in about half an hour and rewards a good read of your opponent.
