Stack domino tiles on a small grid, collect gingerbread and trap the fairy tale burglars.
Who it's for
You like quiet tile-placement puzzles with a bit of humour. Good with three players across a small table.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want a lot of interaction. Most of the game is you and your own grid.
Vibe's take
Neat and puzzly: you cover symbols, grin at a clever double cover and curse when the tile you needed gets taken. A tidy brain-teaser with a funny coat.
Once upon a time a witch built her whole house from gingerbread, and every passing fairy tale character took a bite. So she came up with a plan, based on what each greedy visitor liked best. In Gingerbread House you place domino-like tiles on a three-by-three grid, covering symbols that give you four kinds of gingerbread and special actions. You can also stack tiles on top of earlier ones, so your house grows in three dimensions. Covering two of the same symbol pays especially well. It is a puzzly tile-placement and contract game with a funny fairy-tale theme, for two to four players from eight.
