A cooperative storm adventure where your team builds a real electrical circuit to launch a rocket before lightning strikes.
Who it's for
You like Forbidden Island or Forbidden Desert and want a bigger challenge with a clever twist. Works best with three or four players.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want a relaxed, low-stakes co-op. The storm is unforgiving, and some players will find the circuit part fiddly.
Vibe's take
Tense and chatty: you plan together, and then a thunderclap ruins everything. The circuit puzzle gives it a hands-on feel that most co-ops lack.
Forbidden Sky puts a team on a floating platform in the middle of a savage storm. Your job is to connect a circuit of cables, an actual electrical circuit built into the board, so a secret rocket can launch before lightning hits you or you slip off into the depths. It is a cooperative game in the Forbidden series, with a new twist: you collectively plan the terrain with limited information as you go. Everyone has a character with their own ability, and the board grows as you explore. Expect roughly an hour of tense teamwork, with a bit of electrical tinkering thrown in. Two to five players, plus a solo mode.
