Explore a collapsing cave tile by tile before the dark, or something worse, catches your whole team.
Who it's for
Cooperative horror fans and Pandemic-style groups who want genuine tension and a spooky, claustrophobic theme.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want a relaxed, low-stakes co-op, since Sub Terra is deliberately unforgiving and can end badly for the whole team.
Vibe's take
tense, claustrophobic, cooperative, unforgiving, atmospheric
Sub Terra traps your team of amateur cavers in an unmapped tunnel system with a headlamp battery running down and something worse than darkness closing in. Each turn you reveal new cave tiles hoping for a way forward instead of a dead end, while a hazard card threatens floods, cave-ins or gas leaks that can wreck your plans instantly. Your role matters here, an Engineer can blast a new route with dynamite, a Scout finds paths faster, and leaning on the right specialist at the right moment is often the difference between escaping and getting left behind. Tense, unforgiving and genuinely scary for a game with cardboard tiles, it rewards a cool head under pressure.
