Crack the code of an abandoned polar station using riddle cards, a decoder disk and a few sharp eyes.
Who it's for
You and a partner or small group who like puzzling together and enjoy the thrill of a lock finally clicking open. Perfect if you already did a beginner Exit box and want more bite.
Not for you if…
You hate the idea of cutting up or writing on a game, or you want a box you can replay afterwards. Also skip it if someone at the table gets grumpy when stuck.
Vibe's take
A quiet, concentrated puzzle session that suddenly erupts into shouting when someone spots the connection. Frustration and triumph alternate in short waves, and the table soon fills with torn paper and half-formed theories.
The researchers of a polar station were left behind by mistake when an alarm emptied the place, and now the lock program is sealed shut. Somewhere in the ice and the paperwork is the code that opens it. Exit: The Game borrows the escape-room idea and spreads it across your kitchen table: a booklet, riddle cards, a decoder disk and a pile of clues that only make sense once you spot the connection. You will fold, tear and scribble on the components, so every box is played once. This one is rated noticeably tougher than the beginner boxes of the series, so expect a few moments of staring at the same card in silence. Two or three clear heads work best.
