About this game
Encyclopedia is set in 1739, when the Comte de Buffon hires you to help assemble the first natural history encyclopedia. It is a dice-based worker-placement game: each round you draw and roll dice, place them on your player board, and use them each turn for actions based on their color and value. Visit the Embassy to prepare expeditions, the Bank for funds, and the University to hire a research team. Then pick the animals you wish to study and organize expeditions to observe them in their natural habitats, so you can publish your findings. A heavy, rich euro for one to four players with a solo mode, taking up to two hours.
