Wall off land, grow your domaine, and grab the best territory before the king comes home.
Who it's for
You like area-control games with real tension at the borders, and you do not mind a bit of mild aggression between neighbors.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want a relaxed, no-conflict game. Expansion into other players' land is part of the fun, so expect it.
Vibe's take
Thoughtful and slightly cutthroat. You spend most turns shaping borders and eyeing your neighbors' land, and the tension rises as walls close in.
The king is away, the realm is in chaos, and every duke wants the best land before he returns. Domaine is a territory game on a modular board where you mark out your holdings by placing walls, enclosing an area to claim it as a domaine, and then growing it β even into land your opponents thought was safe. You decide where to build, where to expand, and which neighbor to squeeze, all while the clock to the king's return ticks. Think of it as a medieval land grab with real bite: control of the right pieces of land is what makes you the most prestigious duke. It rewards planning, positioning, and a willingness to be a little ruthless at the border.
