Drop discs into an upright grid and line up four of your color.
Who it's for
You want a pick-up-and-play duel for two that kids and adults can play on equal terms. Good for a short head-to-head between chores.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want depth or variety. It is one idea, and strong players can solve it, so it is better as a quick game than a long-term hobby.
Vibe's take
Quick, clacky, and surprisingly sneaky. You start by playing for your own line, then realize the real game is not giving your opponent the square right above yours.
A vertical grid, seven columns wide and six rows tall, and two colors of discs that drop to the lowest free spot when you let go. Take turns dropping a disc into a column, and the first to line up four in a row, horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, wins. It is the same family as Tic-Tac-Toe and Gomoku, with gravity added, which changes everything: your moves stack, and a column you start can be the one that hands your opponent a win. Games are quick, usually ending in a few minutes, and the click of discs falling is half the charm. Few rules, a lot of traps.
