Draft cards, build your Wild West town, and chase the bonus cards in the middle.
Who it's for
You want a two-player card game that fits in a coat pocket and still gives you real decisions. Great as a travel duel.
Not for you ifβ¦
You need more than two players or a game with high drama. It is a quiet, tidy layout duel.
Vibe's take
A small tidy puzzle of layout and denial: you want a card, but the one you leave behind goes straight to your opponent. Over in fifteen minutes and wanting a rematch.
Circle the Wagons is a two-player card game where you each build a boomtown in the Old West. The cards are drafted around a circle and placed into your own town, trying to connect matching territories to earn prosperity points. Three bonus cards sit in the middle and offer extra scoring if you steer your town the right way. With hundreds of scoring combinations, no two towns end up alike. A game lasts about fifteen minutes, the box is tiny, and the winner of the Button Shy wallet design contest packs a lot of drafting and placing decisions into a very small package.
