Worker placement where your workers are aliens you can splice with claws, tentacles, and extra brains.
Who it's for
You like medium-heavy worker placement and enjoy a creative twist on the formula. Best with three players, and fun for people who like tinkering with an engine.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want a light game or hate heavy rulebooks. There are many modules and perks to learn.
Vibe's take
Crunchy and inventive. You plan around which mutations you need, and your oddball crew slowly turns into a machine tuned to your strategy.
Chimera Station is a worker-placement game with a twist: your workers are customizable aliens. Over the game you splice claws, tentacles, leaves, or extra brains onto them, and each upgrade changes which jobs they do well. You send them out to collect points, food, credits, and living parts for more mutations, while the space station grows around you through modules that open new action spaces. Four alien races, perks, and many different module options keep every game from feeling the same. It is a meaty strategy game with a goofy sci-fi twist, and the fun lies in building a strange crew that suits your plan.
