Equip fantasy heroes from your shop window and profit when they win the fight.
Who it's for
You like fantasy comedy, drafting and a bit of bluffing about what others will offer. Great for four people who enjoy trash-talking each other's shop windows.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want a serious strategy game or you dislike take-that elements. Also less ideal as a two-player duel, since the game is more fun with more shops competing.
Vibe's take
Funny and sly, because you are guessing what heroes will want while quietly sabotaging rival shops. The reveal of who equipped whom is the moment everyone leans forward, and cheers or groans follow the battles.
You run a shop in a town where monsters roam and heroes need gear, and the best salesperson wins. Each round you draft items, then secretly decide which ones to put in your shop window to tempt the passing adventurers. Once the heroes are kitted out, they march off to fight a monster, and the gold and prestige they earn flow back to the shops that equipped them. You hire staff, upgrade your premises and watch heroes you armed too poorly get flattened. When the third monster falls, the shop with the most gold and prestige wins. It is a funny, mildly cutthroat card game in which retail is the real battlefield.
