Stack wooden animals on a wobbly hanging bridge and complete your secret assignments first.
Who it's for
You play with young kids and want a dexterity game that adults enjoy too. Good for a quick, laugh-filled round between other things.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want strategy or choices that grow over a longer game. This is about steady hands, so there is little to plan.
Vibe's take
Giggly and tense. Every new animal changes how the bridge swings, and a held breath is part of the rules. Kids and adults are on equal footing because steady hands beat strategy.
Animal Upon Animal: Balancing Bridge takes the wobbly wooden animal stack and puts it on a hanging bridge. A flamingo, giraffe, panther, bat and iguana are setting off on a big journey, but the only way across four valleys is a swaying rope bridge, and a strong crocodile lends a hand. Each player gets three secret assignment cards showing which animals to pile onto the bridge. The first to complete all of their assignments wins, which means steady hands beat speed. It is a stacking game for ages five and up, short, silly and tense in the way only a tottering tower of wooden animals can be, for both kids and adults.
