Race across Victorian London to solve a case card before the other Holmeses do.
Who it's for
You love Sherlock Holmes and enjoy working out a mystery on paper. It suits two to four detectives who like a long, thoughtful chase.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want fast turns or tight modern design. Dice-driven travel eats time, and when you have no clue yet you mostly wait for your next roll.
Vibe's take
Quiet, scribbly, and a little theatrical. Most of the time you are bent over your notes, then someone dashes back to 221B to announce a solution and everyone wonders what they missed.
221B Baker Street puts you in Holmes's shoes, or at least in his coat. Each case comes on a card as a short story, with a list of suspects and the London locations involved. You roll and move through the streets, visiting places to pick up clues, while everyone else races to crack the same mystery. The real game happens on your notepad, where you cross off suspects and piece together who did it, how, and where. When you think you have it, you head back to 221B to claim the solution. It is a 1975 deduction game with a lot of paper and a lot of silence, and it suits people who enjoy puzzling over a crime more than they enjoy dice.
