Roll, move and question witnesses to rule out suspects on Mysterville Island.
Who it's for
You have kids around seven who like mysteries and want a friendly first deduction game. Adults can join in without having to hold back much.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want a real logic challenge for adults. It is intentionally simple, and mistakes are forgiven by design.
Vibe's take
Gentle and cozy, with a lot of 'wait, that means it cannot be the fox' talk. Wrong guesses are treated kindly, which suits young detectives.
A cooperative detective game for kids and the adults who join them. Something strange is going on in Mysterville Island, and Detective Charlie Holmes needs your help. On your turn you roll the die, move Charlie, and interview witnesses. Each witness helps you rule out suspects, until the last one standing may be the culprit. When you think you have solved it, you check the answer in the envelope. If you are right, great. If not, no drama, you do better next time. One to five players, about twenty-five minutes, and it works as an introduction to deduction for children from seven.
