A cutthroat worker placement duel for power in Shogun-era Edo, with the meanness dial fully in your hands.
Who it's for
Euro gamers who want proper worker placement tension with real player conflict, especially strong at a full table of four.
Not for you ifβ¦
You prefer low-conflict, purely parallel euro games, since Yedo rewards actively blocking and outbidding your rivals.
Vibe's take
strategic, tense, competitive, dense, satisfying
Yedo: Deluxe Master Set puts you at the head of a rival family in 1605 Edo, scheming to out-maneuver everyone else for power in the new Shogun's city. You'll bid for turn order, send Disciples and Specialists on missions, and manage an action queue where timing matters as much as raw strength. The deluxe edition lets you dial the negativity up or down, so a friendly co-worker table and a cutthroat rivalry table can both run the same box. New modular pieces like the Tea House add fresh helpers and mission types on top of the classic worker placement chassis. It's a dense, handsome euro with real teeth, especially at four players where the competition for missions gets properly tense.
