Co-op deck-builder where you hold a sci-fi base against waves of aliens, one lane at a time.
Who it's for
You like co-op games with a bleak sci-fi mood and enjoy building a deck to survive an escalating threat. Good with a small crew who plan together.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want a light, breezy game or dislike losing to scripted waves. This one is punishing, and the first plays can feel rough.
Vibe's take
Tense and puzzly, like tower defense with cards. Each wave forces tough choices about who gets the best gear and which lane can afford to crack.
XenoShyft: Onslaught is a cooperative deck-builder where you defend a military base against an alien hive. Each player commands a division with its own specialty, such as the Med Bay or Weapons Research, and builds a deck of troops, equipment, and items. In each wave, you draft new cards, position your troops in a lane, and then watch the alien horde crash against your defenses. Resources are tight, so you share, plan, and sometimes sacrifice someone's lane to protect the rest. It feels like a cooperative tower-defense game made of cards, with a horror-movie mood. Expect to lose a couple of times before you learn the rhythm of the waves.
