Who it's for

You enjoy dominoes and want a bit more shape and choice. Nice for a quiet evening with two to four people and a little counting.

Not for you if…

You want a game with a lot of interaction or theme. It is pattern matching and counting, with only light luck and light tactics.

Vibe's take

Calm and tactile, with the soft click of tiles and a little arithmetic. Each placement opens or closes possibilities for the next player.

About this game

Dominoes with triangles. The tiles are triangular and carry a number at each corner, and to place one you must match two numbers along the side of a tile that is already on the table. You score points for what you lay down, and the goal is to get rid of your tiles before everyone else does. Because every tile has three sides, the layout grows into a honeycomb of triangles rather than a straight line, which gives you more choices per turn than regular dominoes. First published in 1965, with later spin-offs like Quad-Ominos and a six-player edition with extra tiles. Quiet, tactile, and good for pairs, trios, or the whole table.
