Pulp WWII horror skirmish with commandos and occult soldiers, played with miniatures and measuring tape.
Who it's for
You enjoy miniatures, painting and pulp horror, and have a friend who wants to run a themed skirmish. Best for two.
Not for you if…
You want a game with simple rules or a short play session. It needs space and patience.
Vibe's take
Cinematic and chaotic in a good way. Heroes pull off wild moves, dice swing combat, and the setting gives every fight a wonderfully campy edge.
Tannhäuser is a pulpy alternate-history miniatures battle game set in 1949, after thirty-five years of world war. The Union's elite commandos have been parachuted behind enemy lines to stop the Reich's occult division from opening a portal to hell. Think of World War II colliding with horror and pulp science fiction: soldiers with experimental tech on one side, necromantic cults and chaos on the other. You move figures with a measuring tape, check line of sight and roll dice to shoot or fight. It plays one-on-one or up to ten, though two works best. A big, atmospheric skirmish for people who enjoy painting and shooting weird stuff.
