Vibe's take
Cinematic, tense, tactical, chaotic
The Queen's Gambit stages the finale of Episode One: The Phantom Menace as four battles fought at once: Gungans against the droid army on the plain, Amidala's assault on the palace, the duel with Darth Maul and the space battle around the Droid Control Ship. Each turn both sides pick four action cards from a hand of ten, lock in their order and then resolve them one by one, alternating. The fun lies in that sequencing: a well-timed card can save a front, a misjudged one leaves the next one wide open. With 155 miniatures and a three-level palace on the table, it looks every bit like the movie's climax.
