About this game
Spooky Stairs sends your little piece climbing a haunted staircase, and the twist is that you might not even be able to see it anymore. Roll the die to move forward, but roll a ghost and you cover a piece, any piece, with a spooky figure, so from then on you have to remember which ghost is secretly yours. Once every piece on the board is hidden under a ghost, further ghost rolls let you swap two of them around, scrambling everyone's memory even further. The first piece, ghost costume and all, to reach the top of the stairs wins for whoever is quietly tracking it. It won the Kinderspiel des Jahres and earns that award honestly, a genuinely clever twist on roll-and-move that keeps young kids sharp and engaged.
