A short, sharp drafting duel where you collect forest spirits and snatch the ones your rivals need.
Who it's for
You like short abstract games where taking a piece also hurts your opponent. Works best as a duel across a small table.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want a lush theme with story and flavour. Underneath the pretty art it is an abstract puzzle, and the spirits do not do much beyond scoring.
Vibe's take
Tight and thinky for its size: every tile you take is a small bet about what your opponent wants next. It feels like a quiet abstract puzzle with a fairy-tale coat.
Once in an age, a mythic wind lifts the veil to the spirit world, and curious seraphs drift down to an ancient forest to collect its creatures. You are one of them, tied to an element of nature, and the other seraphs want the same spirits you do. Each turn you draft up to two tiles from a shared pool of 48 forest spirits and collect favor tokens, then use what you have to build your collection. The aim is to gather the most of the nine spirit symbols, each belonging to an element. It is a compact abstract duel of timing and denial, wrapped in a dreamy fantasy look, and it plays in about twenty minutes.
